ROUND 1 VOTES AND COMMENTS

CACHE Traditional Multi Puzzle Location Waypoint Innovative Tally Comments
Dark Side of the Moon 1           1 On location alone this rocks! I love any opportunity to get the miner's lamps out and go underground.
Dopey and the Mystery of the Holy Smoke   1 1 1     3 Great puzzles, one of the creepiest locations ever, a great mix of waypoints and a waypoint container that it took 4 attempts to find. Way above the rest.
M5 Madness         1   1
The Fifth Element           5 5 1) This one had us totally enthralled for a frantic few days, and has had a second life after the first intense competition. 2) The first cache to really encourage direct competition amongst cachers.  Well thought out, with an appropriate theme. 3) the concept was brilliant and the gamesmanship of the intial players/cachers was great to observe, really brought out the best and not-so-best in people.
Hey You       1     1 I voted for this one purely because of its audacity: It is right in the CBD.
Western Views 1           1 The location of this cache was very interesting, the view great and the hiding place fun (but not overly difficult)
Coastal Walk 1           1 Just for sheer cunning of positioning and the views are great too.
Micheal   1         1 Devious waypointing, really made you use local resources to the best advantage
Macgyver   1 2   1   4 1) Great story line, good puzzles, and very hard. 2)The infamous electronic waypoint.  (Need I tell the vote compiler more?) 3) Even though we got fouled at at the end,  we feel that we completed it in the spirit of Mac, you needed to be inovative and resourceful, and to think outside of the box
Panorama       2     2 1) The views and the hike out to it just make it the most worthwile cache there is to do. 2) great views, a long, long walk - a unique location rarely visited by humans
AE2         4   4 1) Excellent hiding technique, excellent construction and a great surprise to discover. 2) an absolutely brilliant cache, a fine example of the cacher's craft with a history lesson thrown in. 3) Simply for the surprise factor this cache was great - it's unfortunate demise means that not many people had a chance to find it... As Tangles said "You won't have seen a cache like this before" 4) Very well hidden cache, not unexpected if you did your research.
Speelo 2           2 A well promoted traditional, with some great Tangles trademarks.
i!:8 Get Smart   2 3   1 1 7 1) Frustrating, enfuriating and very addictive. Despite not having finished it (I have logged my attempts) it gets my vote. 2) A roller-coaster ride that occuppied the mind almost constantly at times.  A great final waypoint. 3) Twisted, yet solveable.  The standing benchmark for epic multicaches. 4) Simply the best - weeks of fun, return visits, crafty waypoints and then the grand finale... 5) This one had us occupied for many weekends! 6) Several clever and innovative waypoints made finding and solving them very satisfying. 7) It takes Geocaching to a whole new level. Caching will never be the same again. It's not a cache - it's an experience.
MS-04 A Stumble, A Fumble, A Mind Socket Jumble   1 1       2 1) Some of the best puzzles combined with clever waypoints we'd come across. 2) This cache had a number of tricky little puzzles and interesting waypoints - very challenging.
MS-02 Once Upon A Time           1 1 Quite a fun travelling cache before they got banned…
She's Apples 1           1
Barrenjoey       1     1 Great view, nuff said.
Hunt for the Blue October 1           1 Great location & not just a walk up and grab cache. You had to actually work for it.
Dealer Wins   1     1 1 3 1) The excitement level was up on this one, finding the locations in a very urban environment and then the added thrill of needing to score a particular tally before heading to the final. 2) Very sneaky use of the urban environment. Al-Quaeda could learn a thing or two... 3) Waypoint hiding technique & points tally was very innovative and the winners prizes were a great touch.
A Day at the Office   2   1     3 1) Very similar to our "Obscured by Clouds". I loved it. 2) loved seeing all the computer stuff setup in the bush. Had us laughing for ages
Gilligans Island 1           1 The sheer exhilaration of wading hundreds of metres out to an island in the ocean made this one special!
Hunt for Pilatus     1       1 For sheer volume of puzzles and urban waypoints, this has no equal. A dozen or two caches' worth of caching ideas in one cache series!
One in a Hundred       1     1 Such a striking feature in such an otherwise boring suburban setting.
Go Fly a Kite 1           1
Blacktracker   1         1 See a lot of the dubbo area
The Main Attraction         1   1 Hidden in plain sight..
Smugglers Cave 1           1 No matter which way you get to it it is fun (walking through a creek or by boat). Very well hidden (Camofaged).
Only the Lonely   1         1 Just because
Banksia 1       1     1 Fantastic views. Unfortunately only 5 people have been here.
Who Let the Dogs Out         1   1
The Wall 1     1     2 1) Brilliant location, stunning exposure, well hidden. 2) Fantastic exposure and views
Trog Delight   1         1 Nice cross between a multi and a traditional cache
Fractal Parsecs     1       1 Solvable by at least 3 different methods
Nuts Bolts and Tools         1   1 Clever use of materials
Happily Ever After   1       1 2 1) The concept of 9 themed caches by 9 different cachers, that spanned the Sydney basin. 2) This cache really got us caught up in the whole competition thing. It was a load of fun.
Dangle 1           1 Loved the challenge
I'm out of the Office             0 loved seeing all the computer stuff setup in the bush. Had us laughing for ages
Two ways     1       1 tested my patients since I didn't visit every waypoint.
Hawkesbury Hangout       1     1
Within Spitting Distance         1   1 On the picnic day the magnetic wp had me going for ages - loved how well it was camoflagued.
Row Row Row Your Boat           1 1 clever container in the hand of the rower
Yellowmundie       1     1
Beni#3 Party         1   1
Beni#4 Cunnundrum           1 1
Split Rock 1           1 Magnificent location, rewarding find, requires planning and effort and is unique.
Dam Arthur   1         1 Hard but interesting first waypoint, Clever concept for second and fist locations, hard to find final location.
The Ultimate Sacrifice     1       1 Rewarding history lesson about Les and Kates Grandfathers. Visiting Graves and Working dates.
Hunter Valley Vista       1     1 This location is so beautiful I got Married 800 meters away overlooking the same view.
Zebra         1   1 Bloody xxxxxxx - Took me friggin hours to find that bastard!
The Run Around           1 1 Coordinates written as spelt numbers on the back of a borderless jigsaw puzzle. - Bastard!
Basin Instinct 1           1 Lovely walk with great views
MS-06: What's Up Doc     1       1 Excellent puzzles from begining to end
Nemos Hideaway       1     1 I arrived here for a magnificent sunset over the harbour
The Grand Vizier's Garden Party           1 1 Innovative Idea and Event cache all rolled into one.
sanD on Track 1           1 A HUGE easy to find cache at the end of a nice track with great views. The perfect classic cache.
Claustrophobia       1     1 It's one of the greatest slot canyons in the world, nothing else compares to this location.
